목시님에게 처음 연락을 드린 건 지난여름 즈음이었다. 아는 지인을 통해 알게 되었고, 그녀의 얼굴에는 단순히 설명할 수 없는 신비로운 매력이 있었다. 그래서 바로 개인 작업을 제안했다. 처음에는 다른 작업을 염두에 두고 있었지만, 내가 여행을 다녀오면서 일정이 미뤄졌고 얼마 전에서야 스튜디오에서 촬영을 진행할 수 있었다.

이번 작업의 주제는 특별한 것이 아니었다. 목시 그 자체를 담고 싶었다. 그녀는 강렬한 존재감을 가지고 있었고, 그저 한 사람의 다양한 모습을 기록하고 싶었다. 촬영은 매끄럽게 진행되었고, 결과물도 만족스러웠다.

현재 그녀는 모델과 브랜드 컨텐츠 에디터로 활동 중이고, 주말에는 퍼퓸샵에서 일한다고 했다. 나와 같은 92년생이라는 공통점이 있어서인지 보정 작업에도 신경을 많이 썼다. 어릴 때부터 패션 잡지에서 봐왔던 톤과 감각을 떠올리며, 그녀만의 관능적인 선과 신비로운 분위기를 표현하려고 노력했다.

이번 작업은 목시라는 사람을 기록하는 시간이었다. 단순한 작업이었지만, 의미 있는 결과로 남았다

I first reached out to Mokshi around last summer. I got to know her through a mutual acquaintance, and her face possessed an inexplicable, mysterious charm. So, I immediately proposed a personal project. Initially, I had another concept in mind, but due to my travels, the schedule was delayed, and it was only recently that we managed to conduct the shoot in a studio.

The theme of this project wasn’t anything extraordinary. I simply wanted to capture Mokshi herself. She carried an intense presence, and I wanted to document the diverse facets of a single person. The shoot went smoothly, and I was satisfied with the results.

Currently, she works as a model and a brand content editor, and on weekends, she’s involved with a perfume shop. Discovering that she, like me, was born in 1992, gave me a sense of connection, and I poured extra effort into the editing process. Drawing inspiration from the tones and aesthetics of the fashion magazines I’ve seen since childhood, I aimed to convey her sensual lines and mysterious aura.

This project was about recording Mokshi as a person. It was a simple endeavor, yet it left a meaningful result.
